≈ LINCOLN CITY COWORKING

Community guidelines

A good workday, with good neighbors.

Lincoln City Coworking is a small coastal community for people doing all kinds of work. Whether you live here year-round or are working from the coast for a while, help make this a welcoming place to concentrate, connect, and belong.

These guidelines apply to members, hosts, guests, events, and our online community. Updated October 14, 2026.

The everyday essentials

Be considerate. Give people room to focus. Book what you need and release what you don’t. Tidy your space, protect each other’s privacy, and bring concerns to a host.

Need help with a concern? ↓

01 / Respect & belonging

Make room for different backgrounds, identities, abilities, ages, and ways of working. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation, sexual misconduct, threats, and repeated unwanted attention have no place here.

Ask before offering advice, joining a conversation, or making an introduction. A friendly hello is welcome; someone’s attention or business is never owed. Respect a “no” without asking them to explain it. Tell a host about access needs or barriers so we can discuss practical adjustments with you.

02 / Focus & conversations

Keep desk-area conversations brief and quiet. Use headphones for audio, silence unnecessary alerts, and move longer conversations and calls away from people concentrating. Headphones are a good signal to check before interrupting.

Book a meeting room for extended calls, group discussions, or sensitive conversations. An empty room may already be reserved; check before using it. Finish within your booking and leave time to clear up before the next person arrives.

03 / Desks & bookings

Reserve through Book a space and check that your reservation is confirmed before planning to use a desk. The space is open Monday–Friday and closed on weekends. Desk bookings cover 8am–6pm Pacific; meeting rooms are booked separately by time. Use the access arrangements provided by your host.

  • Book only dates you expect to use. Don’t hold extra desks with bags or belongings, or leave shared desks set up overnight without a host’s agreement.
  • Your plan sets your booking window, desk-day allowance, and guest passes. Allowances follow the calendar month of the booking date.
  • Cancel promptly when plans change. The cancellation window shown in booking applies; contact a host if you need help after that cutoff. Each date in a repeat series must be canceled separately.
  • A waitlist entry is not a confirmed desk. Eligible entries can be confirmed automatically when space opens, so check your notifications and cancel any entry you no longer need.

04 / Guests & gatherings

Help guests understand these guidelines and stay available during their visit. Include additional desk users in your reservation’s guest count; they use guest passes and count toward desk capacity. Meeting-room visitors must fit the room’s capacity and don’t use desk allowances or guest passes. A room visit does not include a coworking desk.

RSVP for events and release your spot if you can’t attend. Coordinate outside gatherings, client events, or filming with a host before inviting people. Ask about arrangements for children or pets before bringing them; children must stay supervised. Service animals are welcome. Keep animals under control and shared routes clear.

05 / Care for the space

Leave desks and rooms ready for the next person. Return furniture and borrowed supplies, wipe spills, and take your belongings with you. Tell a host about damage, missing supplies, or equipment problems promptly.

Wash your dishes and clean up food preparation areas after use. Label anything stored in a shared fridge, remove it promptly, and leave other people’s food alone. Keep strong food smells and fragrances in mind. Sort waste using the labels provided and use water, heating, lighting, and supplies thoughtfully.

06 / Privacy & technology

Give other people’s screens, paperwork, calls, and ideas the same privacy you expect for your own. Ask permission before photographing, filming, recording, or sharing anything that identifies another person or their work. This includes recording tools and AI meeting assistants.

Lock your screen when you step away and keep devices updated. Don’t access other people’s devices, accounts, or files, interfere with the network, or use shared connectivity for unlawful activity. Ask a host before connecting network equipment or running unusually demanding equipment.

You control directory visibility in your profile and attendee-name visibility for each event RSVP. Hiding your directory profile does not hide posts or comments you have authored. Keep client details, passwords, and sensitive personal information out of community posts.

07 / Our online community

Use topics, posts, replies, and reactions to share useful local knowledge, ask questions, offer help, and celebrate progress. Pick a relevant topic, add enough context, and keep disagreements about ideas respectful.

  • Share your work when it fits the conversation. Avoid repetitive promotions, unsolicited sales pressure, spam, scams, and misleading claims; disclose your connection to a recommendation.
  • Don’t publish someone else’s contact information, private messages, or confidential work without permission. Don’t collect directory information for mailing lists.
  • No abusive or hateful content, targeted ridicule, or explicit sexual content. Don’t use posts or reactions to pile on, shame someone, or retaliate for a concern.
  • Raise sensitive disputes privately with a host. Hosts may remove posts or replies that violate these guidelines.

08 / Safety & access

Keep accounts and any keys or entry codes personal. Don’t prop secure doors open or let unfamiliar visitors follow you in; connect them with a host. Report lost access credentials promptly.

Keep exits and walkways clear. Don’t tamper with safety equipment or bring hazardous materials into the workspace. No smoking or vaping indoors. Check with a host before bringing alcohol for an event; unsafe or disruptive intoxication is not acceptable. Work elsewhere when you’re unwell enough to risk spreading illness.

Learn the posted exit routes and follow local emergency instructions, including tsunami evacuation directions where applicable. In an immediate emergency, call 911, move to safety, and notify a host when safe. Don’t wait for an online reply. Follow the host’s closing instructions if you’re the last to leave.

09 / Our coastal neighborhood

We share Lincoln City with residents, neighboring businesses, and visitors. Keep entrances accessible, follow posted parking rules, and keep outdoor conversations considerate. Shake off sand and contain wet coats and gear so floors stay dry and safe.

Ask before putting up signs, rearranging shared areas, arranging deliveries, or using the space’s address for business mail. Offer local recommendations generously, respect people’s time, and help newcomers feel included without pressure to socialize.

10 / Concerns & accountability

Report a concern anonymously or with your name and email. Sign-in is required, and only admins can view submissions. You can also speak with a host in person or use the contact details provided during your membership onboarding. Explain what happened, when and where, and what support you need. If available, include relevant messages or witnesses. You can raise a concern about a member, guest, or host; if a host is involved, ask to speak with the owner or another host.

You do not need to confront someone first. For an everyday misunderstanding, a kind direct conversation may help if you feel comfortable. For harassment or safety concerns, go straight to a host. Retaliation against anyone raising a concern in good faith is not acceptable.

Hosts will listen, consider the available information, and share details only as needed to respond; absolute confidentiality cannot be promised. Depending on the behavior, a response may include a conversation, a warning, removal of content, being asked to leave, or a review of membership access. Serious safety concerns may require immediate action. You may ask the owner or another host to review a decision and provide additional context.

These guidelines explain how we share the community. Your membership terms and the booking rules shown in the app govern plan entitlements, payments, and cancellations. Ask a host when anything is unclear, and check this page for updates.
